Position Overview
Our manufacturing client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their on-site accounting team. This role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with SAGE and manufacturing accounting is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Support cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation and analysis
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and adjustments
- Utilize SAGE for daily accounting operations, reporting, and analysis
- Partner with operations and finance leadership on budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support internal and external audits as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- SAGE experience is required
- Strong inventory management and cost accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work fully on-site in a collaborative team setting
